The Intercultural Communication class on the 20th of November unfolded exactly as planned: a shared journey through food, music, and cultural stories. We began by discussing three themes – our favourite dishes, the foods we turn to for comfort, and the most unusual things we have ever tried. (One participant even mentioned having tasted crocodile.)
Everyone brought something to the table, and together we explored dishes from 11 countries. Flavours from Japan, India, Korea, Germany, Ukraine, Georgia, Spain, Croatia, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Hungary filled Room 123, giving our Erasmus students at ELTE TÓK a chance to share their culinary heritage and discover new ones.
The class opened with a beautiful live piano performance by one of our students, and ended with an energetic group music game that created a lively, almost party-like atmosphere in Room 123. The session showed how food and music can bring people together and spark real connections across cultures.
The event was organised and led by Éva Trentinné Benkő.
